TEAM OF 5 million!

Well done, New Zealand! Our fantastic team of 5 million have done an awesome job and there are no active cases of Covid-19 in New Zealand, and no new cases for 18 days!

We are now in Level One – our recovery level, where we are encouraged to get out and about in our awesome country again, and to buy local and New Zealand made products. Our borders are still closed – we must continue with proper handwashing and cough and sneezing protocols – be mindful of social distancing where we can, and stay home if we are unwell.

I am so proud to be a Kiwi, and thank you to our beautiful people.

As I write this, my community, Whangaparaoa College community and family is mourning the loss of a wonderful local young man, who passed away in a tragic accident at his home. He was 15, loved by all who knew him and a very talented, kind and awesome person. A wonderful friend to my 15 year old grandson. RIP, Louis, you will be so missed.

Life is so fleeting. I hope and pray that we make the most of what we have, we love and appreciate our family and friends – and we tell them so, and we grab on to a faith that gives us hope and a future.

Kia kaha (stay strong) and may God bless you.
